Playa Negra is mostly considered a location for advanced surfers, but just 10 minutes to the north of Playa Negra is Playa Avellanas which is one of the most user friendly beach breaks in our area with four different beach break peaks, a split-peak estuary wave, and a left and right hand reef break. Not to mention the world famous Lola's restaurant, a beachfront establishment in Avellanas known for their 300 pound pig, Lola, who can be seen frolicking in the shore break.
