Situated in the southwestern tip of beautiful Cat Island, in The Bahamas, this unique property has an established 28-slip marina and its own private 70-foot wide, 3,100-foot airstrip. The airstrip is already paved to be extended to a length of 4,900-feet.
This property is comprised of a centralized footprint which is made up of the resort management office and retail shop, the restaurant, lounge and bar, pool and pool deck and the 10-hotel rooms, and managers quarters, all just north of the airstrip. On the other side of the airstrip, is the 28-slip marina, Sharkey’s restaurant and bar, fish cleaning areas, fuel dock and PADI-shop. Due east of the resort office is the cluster of the private resort villas. Two of these 3-bedroom villas, The Sailfish House, and The Blue Marlin House, at approx. 1,700 sq.ft. each, are used for resort guests and can accommodate multiple families, offering full kitchens, laundry, and second floor open terraces.
The largest of the private residences, The Cat Ballou House, at over 3,400 sq.ft., belongs to ownership and has not been used for resort accommodations. The private villas share a centralized freshwater pool with loungers and a walking path that leads directly to the beach and shoreline. All homes constructed on this property were built to exact U.S. and Bahamian standards and codes and exceed hurricane building requirements.
